Our Pastors

Reverend Mary Sue Evers

Senior Pastor

Mary Sue is a native of the Pacific Northwest and a former agriculture teacher. A graduate of Chicago’s McCormick Theological Seminary and a former Merrill Fellow at Harvard Divinity School, she is particularly interested in the ongoing discoveries of New Testament scholarship, environmental ethics, and the intersections between faith and daily life.  She especially delights in spending time in her cedar strip canoe.

Reverend J.J. Crow

Associate Minister of Faith Formation

Associate Minister of Faith Formation, Jennifer (JJ) Crow graduated from Willamette University with a BA in Gender Studies and Religious Studies. After traveling in Asia for two year she came home and received her Masters in Divinity from Seattle University and was ordained in 2015. She's a certified Godly Play story teller, an Our Whole Lives instructor and has completed Art of Hosting training.

JJ was born and raised in a small UCC church within smelling distance of the Puget Sound. She heard the call to ministry when she was 16 during a UCC mid-winter youth retreat in a sweat lodge, which set the tone for her ministry ever since. Outside of serving Cedar Hills UCC’s youth and families, JJ’s ministry also includes Women of the 14th Moon.
